Summer 2023 - This summer, many families have finally begun to make up for the lost travel time, and our family was no exception. While we had undertaken some trips, visiting the UK and Mexico over the past few years, we were always mindful of clear Covid policies and the risk of potential travel disruptions. However, for this particular trip, we decided to cover a lot of ground over 3 1/2 weeks, moving quickly from one spot to another - a departure from our usual travel approach. Our main objective was to expose our kids to a wide range of Western European culture and landscapes. Still, we plan to return to our tried and true method next time, focusing on immersing ourselves in one region for a more profound experience.
One of the highlights for Lindsey and me was the unforgettable stay at the fabulous original Dior perfume flower estate in Southern France, a place we had attempted to book in the Spring of 2020. The moment we passed through the estate gates, it felt like we had been transported back to a bygone era of elegance and refinement. Nestled amidst the picturesque mountain-top villages of Southern France, the estate exuded an air of enchantment and tranquility that left us captivated. Honestly, we could have happily lingered there for the entire summer, savoring every moment of our time at this magical location.
