Howdy
Micah is a documentary & travel photographer represented by Redux Pictures photo agency in NYC. He specializes in difficult-to-access regions in Africa, the Middle East, and North America, and oftentimes under-covered issues.
His most recent work in Southern Algeria captured the stark intensity of the deserted region, the persistent insecurity, and the role of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic’s rebels along one of the most dangerous axes in the world, while embedding with North African counter-terrorism special forces in the Saharan Desert to document efforts against AQIM recruitment.
Micah is a grantee from the Pulitzer Center for Crisis Reporting to work in Africa’s largest dump site, Dandora. He also won 1st Prize from World Press Photo, Contemporary Issues on his work in Dandora and National Geographic Magazine’s annual photo contest.
